PREPARATION

The Ultimate Key to Leading

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe
                                         Abraham Lincoln

A simple word and also common but the most violated is the word  “preparation”. The common factor that has separated the great from the small is their attitude toward preparation.  In the history of time we can all pin point the outcome of those that prepared themselves and those that did not. The world champions understand this principle of preparation, in the sense that without adequate preparation they wouldn’t have been champions preparation give you the ticket to greatness.
Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for   it today
                                                 Malcolm X
This also strongly relate to our starting time in the journey to greatness. Today
  • when football is mentioned, Lionel Messi and the likes of the heroes in football will be remembered
  •  when you make reference to software the likes of Bill-Gate and Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) comes up
  • when  Golf is been mentioned, Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods will be remembered.
King  Solomon is said to be the wisest man in the bible and he said that “ it is wisdom for you to sharpen your axe before using it to cut “ this sharpening is typically referred to as preparation and cutting is referred to as putting what you have prepared for into action. When preparation meets with opportunity it sparks the golden star of LUCK. The backbone of preparation is Direction; for without direction you can be said to be passing time, no wonder many people have spent so much time doing so many things but can’t account  for a meaningful output at the end.
Keys to great preparation
  • Know where you are going to (vision).
  •  Open yourself up to good books that will help you to make adequate plan towards the place of you are going to in life(for knowledge is thrust  preparation) .
  •  keep an accountable profile.
